BIOGRAPHY
 

Alexander Thomas Geiger, born in Passau, began his studies in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with Prof. Cheryl Studer.
He successfully completed this in 2022 with a Master of Music in Performance (Music Theatre/Opera) with KS Prof Jochen Kupfer.
He also studied in the Liedklasse of Alexander Fleischer and Gerold Huber.
In addition to his training, Alexander actively participated in master classes and workshops with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, Caroline Stein, Julie Kaufmann, Bernd Valentin, Robert Gambill, Peter Schöne and Dale Fundling.


At the moment he receives vocal lessons by KS Prof. Jochen Kupfer.


Alexander sang the role of Max from “Der Freischütz” (C. M. von Weber) at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen in the summer of 2023.
In October 2022 he made his debut with the role of Max from “Der Freischütz” (C. M. von Weber) in a short opera version of the Puchheimer Taschenoper.
Through the Siegfried-Wagner-Gesellschaft, Alexander made his debut as "Ein Winzer" from “Sonnenflammen op. 8” (S. Wagner) on the Kulturbühne Reichshof Bayreuth in August 2020.

 

At the Theater Bibrastraße (HfM Würzburg) he sang numerous roles including the "Male Chorus" from “The Rape of Lucretia” (B. Britten), "Paolino" from “Il matrimonio segreto” (D. Cimarosa), the "1. Fremder/2. Fremder" from “Der Vetter aus Dingsda” (E. Künneke), "Merkur" from “Orpheus in der Unterwelt” (J. Offenbach), "Er" from “Die Nacht des Neurastheniker” (N. Rota) and many others.


Alexander was the initiator, organizer and participant to the benefit concert of the Auersperg-Gymnasium Freudenhain for the flood victims 2013 in Passau.


Alexander Thomas Geiger is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Verband Würzburg Unterfranken e. V. 2019.
